Southern Aluminum Foundry (SAF), a fast-growing manufacturing company, is seeking a motivated Cleaning Room Team Lead to join our team in Clinton, South Carolina. In this manufacturing role, you will earn a competitive wage, depending on experience, with an incentive based on performance.


To be clear up front, this role is a player coach role. We expect you to lead by example and coach employees, while cleaning and finishing part time.

Day in the Life:


As a Cleaning Room Team Lead, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality parts by:

  • Leading by example and finishing parts
  • Fostering a positive work atmosphere with a primary focus on safety
  • Supervising the grinding, sawing, and cleaning of castings to ensure quality
  • Overseeing the team involved in these processes, ensuring efficiency and safety
  • Providing feedback to operators for continuous improvement
  • Ensuring that all parts meet the established quality standards
  • Keep material flowing through the area
  • Identifying and addressing any defects in the castings

Requirements:

Candidates must have:


  • Experience in overseeing cleaning or similar operations, or 3-5+ years in a supervisory role within a manufacturing setting
  • Ability to manage supplies and inventories effectively
  • Proficient in ensuring the overall quality of production
  • Possesses strong communication skills and can build robust relationships at all levels
  • Demonstrates the ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines
  • The ability to perform physical duties such as lifting 30+ pounds, bending, twisting, and standing for long periods of time
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • U.S. citizenship or documented residency
  • Be 18+ years old
