Job Title: Sales Operations Specialist

Job Summary:

Empire Pipe and Supply is seeking a dynamic individual for the position of Sales Operations Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for seamlessly managing both counter sales transactions and coordinating inside sales operations. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service at the front counter, processing walk-in customer orders, and simultaneously handling crucial inside sales tasks such as quoting, purchase orders, and writing take-offs.

Responsibilities:

Counter Sales:

Greet and assist walk-in customers at the front counter.
Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
Provide product information, pricing, and quotes to customers.

Inside Sales Coordination:

Manage the end-to-end process of quoting for customers.
Place and track purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
Prepare and coordinate customer orders, maintaining precise documentation.
Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide accurate solutions.
Write take-offs for customer projects, ensuring comprehensive and precise details.

Customer Service:

Build and maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication and responsiveness.
Address customer inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and professionally.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with colleagues in the sales team to optimize sales processes.
Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in counter sales and inside sales coordination is preferred.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Proficiency in sales software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Business or related field is a plus.
Proven experience in a sales support or customer service role.
