Warehouse Associate - Picker

Summary

Looking for a self-motivated, detailed oriented person to work in a local distribution warehouse picking product, loading, and unloading trucks. We are celebrating our 50th year anniversary as a premier distribution company located in Fairfield.  This is an immediate position that offers excellent benefits and competitive pay.  Hours are 5:30pm to 1:30am Sunday to Thursday.

Duties and responsibilities

• Maintain, organize, and keep a clean warehouse working environment
• Pick orders daily by utilizing motorized equipment in a safe manner and at the direction of the supervisor.
• Assure accuracy in locating and picking the correct items and quantity. Verify the items being picked. Attention detail is required.
• Prepare pallets for fulfillment.
• Work at a rapid pace to fulfill large quantity of order accurately,
• Follow directions of supervisor accurately
• Verify quantity picked vs. pulled and inspect pick ticket for any errors
• Verify labeling of each order according to routing guides and or special instructions
• Verify quantities and box count

Qualifications

• Warehouse working experiences such as sorting products, lifting boxes, and preparing pallets is desirable.
• Must be able to work in a team-oriented working environment and demonstrate as a team player and can work with all the team members.
• Must have multi-tasking and organizational skills with ability to process orders with accuracy and efficiency.
• Ability to follow the defined work schedule and carry out all duties assigned by managers to ensure workflow and efficiency.
• Flexible in doing all necessary jobs to achieve productivity in warehouse and order shipment
• Forklift and Cherry Picker Machine experience is required.
• Ideal candidate will have knowledge of the distribution sector
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

Compensation

• This is a non-exempt hourly position paying $21.00 per hour
• The Discretionary Signing Bonus is paid out in increments after 30 days of satisfactory employment.
• Each Installment totals up to $200.00 and is issued with Managements approval on the following milestones: 30, 60, 90, 120 and 150 days.
