Field Service Technician

GVM Inc is currently seeking a full-time Field Service Technician to join their team in their Biglerville, PA (17307) location. Salary Range: $25 - $30 / hour Executive Summary: If you are a skilled tradesman looking for a great opportunity that provides the ability to be a key contributor to our service team, GVM, Inc may be the place for you. Service Technicians are responsible for accurately diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, repairing found issues, inspecting both new and used equipment and building a professional and friendly rapport with customers. Up to 80% travel may be required. This position reports to the National Service Manager. Key Performance Metrics: Quality Customer Satisfaction Productivity Response Time Responsibilities: Ability to apply practical knowledge to service electrical and hydraulic systems, both in house and in the field Ability to accurately repair mechanics, including machine drive train, frame, suspension, spraying systems, and spreader system Diagnose and program CAN-controlled electrical systems Program, diagnose and troubleshoot controllers and understand their functionality Inspect new and used equipment prior to sale, perform necessary service work based upon thorough inspection Perform preventative maintenance inspections on customers equipment Travel, including overnight, may be required Complete proper paperwork in an efficient and timely manner Attend and participate in service training when available Resolve customer’s concerns efficiently and effectively Promote a positive attitude at all times Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor Exhibit a high level of customer service daily Professionally represents the Company Education and Experience: Background in agriculture industry preferred Knowledge of the fertilizer/chemical industry a plus Understanding of agricultural technology preferred Skills Required: Skilled in MIG and Arc welding practices and proper oxy-acetylene torch and plasma cutter techniques Must be able to develop a thorough understanding of products sold Excellent people skills, strong drive to succeed and a team player A high energy level Displays self-discipline Must have a valid driver’s license Responsible for owning/purchasing their own tools Benefits: Family medical – employee cost shared Paid time off Holiday pay 401K program with employer match Company paid life insurance with option to purchase additional Short and long term disability options $1,000 Signing bonus after 90 days of employment To Apply: Please submit your resume via the “APPLY NOW” button Equal Opportunity Employer
