Job Description
The Machine Technician Apprentice is responsible for routine cleaning and preventative maintenance of all embroidery machines, heat seal presses and laser machines.  The Machine Technician Apprentice will perform other basic maintenance tasks as assigned by the Lead Machine Technician and Production Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Repair of Cap Frames & other machine attachments.
  • Cleaning, lubrication and minor repairs of embroidery machines
  • Preventative maintenance on all production machinery
  • Daily record keeping of machine tasks performed
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Skills/Qualifications
  • Ability to follow verbal directions.
  • Ability to read instructions in English.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to perform troubleshooting/problem solving tasks
  • Ability to work with tools and machinery.
  • Skill set to learn how to troubleshoot and repair all equipment

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • None

Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Repetitive use of hands, fingers and arms.
  • Ability to demonstrate fine dexterity skills.
  • Ability to move about the facility.
  • Ability to climb, bend, reach, kneel and crouch.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed.

Vision Requirements
  • Close and distance vision.
  • Vision to be able to thread a needle.
  • Color vision.


Work Environment
  • Exposure to loud noise level.

Personal Protective Equipment
  • Safety Glasses (as needed).

Schedule
  • Day Shift 7am – 3:30pm Monday - Friday
    • Overtime (Saturday 7am – noon) as needed
