Sales Consultant:

La-Z-Boy Home Furnishings & Décor of Indianapolis is growing! Our team is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Sales Consultant to join our team. As a Certified Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, cultivating relationships with customers, and developing new sales opportunities. You will be expected to understand customer needs, provide product knowledge and advice, and effectively guide your client to a purchase. You must be a self-starter, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to develop relationships. If you are passionate about sales and enjoy working with people, then this is the perfect opportunity for you! Our average retail sales consultants earn over $55,000/year with top performers earning over $70,000 +/year. The best part, we do not cap your commission earning potential! To start, you will experience a great two-week training class in our newly remodeled Education Center! Career Responsibilities:

• Learn & master our proven professional selling system to meet customer needs
• Maintain relationships with current and potential customers to ensure satisfaction
• Contribute in high impact sales events
• Learn from our Interior Designer and support our Free In-Home Design program
• Provide product knowledge to customers
• Process customer orders, payments, update customer until fully satisfied

Job Requirements:

• Prefer an associate degree in business, or two years of sales experience
• Professional dress and appearance
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
• Ability to effectively prioritize tasks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Available weekends, and most holidays – we’re closed Christmas, Thanksgiving & Easter!
• Will pass background check, our team members' and customer's safety is important.
