Are you ready to join a winning Team? We are looking for a Service Greeter for our Mercedes Benz of Ontario Location.


The purpose of the Job description is to communicate the responsibilities and duties associated with the Service Greeter role. While the following information should be considered a comprehensive description of this position, it should be noted that some responsibilities and duties may not be specifically addressed.


It is imperative that you review these duties, skills, and physical requirements closely and that you understand our expectations as a Service Greeter.


The Service Greeter is responsible for the flow of the Mercedes Benz of Ontario Service Department by moving vehicles on the drive to accommodate all guests’ requests. A Service Greeter must keep the Dealership organized, park vehicles in every designated area, deliver vehicles to the Guest, and kindly direct or route Guests to the appropriate personnel for assistance.

Service Greeter strives to provide 5-Star Treatment by delivering exceptional Customer Service to all Guests with a professional, polite, and positive attitude.


Job Duties:

  • · Professional Greetings and positive communication are essential to this role such as: It’s my pleasure”, “I understand how you feel”, or “Good question, let me find that out for you right now”.
  • All Greeters must remember that “once you are ready to be positioned (Clock-in) “means that you are on stage”. This duty is required to smile to all Guests, have a positive attitude, positive body language, active listening, must obey Dress Code and conduct. All Guests are a priority and their experience at the dealership must be outstanding and excellent.
  • Customer Service 101 Skill: Always go out of your way to please our guests and provide a five stars treatment.
  • Kindly direct or route guests to the appropriate personnel for assistance.
  • Offer a complimentary bottle of water to all guests.
  • Perform Vehicle walk around and 360 high-Quality photos.
  • Create key fobs for service cars - ensure all vehicles are fobbed correctly, with the right parking spot in the key TAG, before adding to the key machine.
  • Keep the podium updated via radio.
  • Move all vehicles to their designated locations, which include service drive, parking lots, and car wash, as well as take cars to and from technicians' stalls - try your best to move tow-ins, but if in need of assistance, please ask for the help of the technician requesting the vehicle.
  • Make sure all vehicles are 'done' prior to moving the vehicle - have the floor mat, seat cover, and video walk-around.
  • Make sure to put the TAG on the interior rearview mirror.
  • Ensure the service drive is free of unnecessary cars, moving cars to their designated locations.
  • Organize the lot, ensure we are parking properly in the most effective way, not parking disabled cars in front of others, and avoid illegal blocking of the spots at all costs.
  • Organize the service lot, move any cars parked illegally, and make room for tow-ins arriving at the dealership.
  • Organize and move all cars that are coming out of the car wash, putting the tag number in the wash list.
  • If you cannot find a vehicle or keys to the vehicle, inquire with the site supervisor for assistance.
  • Before delivering cars to guests (pick-ups), make sure all vehicles are clean. Report issues and dirty vehicles over the radio prior to the delivery.
  • When delivering cars to guests, check the R.O. to ensure you deliver the right vehicle, and remember to be polite, positive, and professional.
  • Do not advise or try to guess what a guest needs for his car - always get someone qualified to help with the customer’s request.
  • We will perform complementary services such as tire pressure, coolant top-off, and key battery replacement.
  • Be aware of Advisors' and Managers' on-site, your team schedule, and teams.
Requirements:


Skills and Qualifications:

  • A valid driver’s license and at least one year of driving experience to perform the job safely
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer Service Skills oriented
  • Friendly with high energy and the willingness to go above and beyond.
  • Highly responsible, professional, and reliable.
  • Unrestricted California driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles.
  • Able to safely operate motor vehicles in tight and small spaces.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic computer and internet skills.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
  • Must be customer service oriented.
  • Must be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer and team members.
  • Must be self-motivated with good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strive to respect and facilitate teamwork within all departments.
  • Friendly with high energy and the willingness to go above and beyond.
  • Willing to multi-task.
