Cashier/Barista

Blue Hat Coffee in Downtown Farmingtion, Michigan is hiring a Cashier/Barista

^ Full time position, 35-40 hours a week.
^ Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, such as lattes, cappuccinos, and espressos
^ Take customer orders and process payments using a cash register or POS system
^ Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations
^ Maintain a clean and organized work area, including restocking supplies and cleaning equipment
^ Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and freshness of food and beverages
^ Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and timely service
^ Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and resolve issues to their satisfaction

Experience:
^ Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role is preferred but not required
^ Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and different coffee blends is a plus
^ Familiarity with basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
^ Ability to operate a cash register or POS system accurately
^ Strong sales skills to promote additional products or upsell to customers
^ Understanding of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
^ Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and provide friendly service
^ Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Salary: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
