As a dishwasher at LOCAL Public Eatery, it starts and ends with you. The kitchen’s ability to execute a perfect menu is only possible with a perfect dish to build upon. Your goal is to uphold a clean and safe environment while keeping ahead of the game. The environment is fast-paced and demanding, but you make it look easy.

Duties

  • Exude professionalism and Genuine Warmth and Care towards guests and fellow partners.
  • Set up, clean, polish, and break down the dish machine; change the dishwater periodically.
  • Wash dishes, cutlery, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and other equipment.
  • Exercise required sanitation practices for dish handling by maintaining the dish area in a clean, sanitary, and safe manner.
  • Monitor the dish machine to ensure wash and rinse cycles do not fall below safety standard temperatures.
  • Ensure the temperatures and ppm levels of sanitizers in the dish machine and sinks always comply with health code.
  • Notify store leadership immediately whenever the dish machine does not perform as intended or there are any suspected issues.
  • Organize clean dishes, cutlery, and cooking equipment in their designated areas.
  • Stock all supplies, dishes, equipment, tools, and utensils in their designated areas on the kitchen line.
  • Support kitchen team as needed.
  • Complete assigned opening, side work, and closing duties to set your team up for success. Stock, clean, and organize dish area.
  • Comply with all required food handling and workplace safety procedures.
  • Follow all instructions and guidelines for safe usage of kitchen equipment and cleaning compounds. Report equipment problems and maintenance issues to leadership immediately.

Wage Scale:

$19.97/hour + tips

  • Must have or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler permits.
