POSITION SUMMARY:

The HR Manager will be based out of Joplin, MO and is responsible for managing all aspects of the human resources function within the assigned plants. They are responsible for working with the corporate HR team developing and implementing HR policies and programs, managing employee relations, recruiting and onboarding new employees, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follows all EHS policies, practices, and procedures
  • Supports Continuous Improvement (CI) tasks, projects, and initiatives
  • Manage the recruiting activity for assigned locations
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Conduct interviews, assess candidates, and make hiring decisions.
  • Lead the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation and training.
  • Provide guidance and support to coworkers on HR-related issues
  • Handle coworker concerns, conflicts and disciplinary matters
  • Promote a positive workplace culture and coworker engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state and federal labor laws and regulations
  • Develop, update and enforce HR policies and procedures
  • Keep informed of HR trends and best practices and changing compliance requirements
  • Manage the performance appraisal process for assigned group
  • Provide coaching and support to managers on performance-related matters
  • Assist in creating development plans for coworkers
  • Guide coworkers on benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits
  • Handle benefit inquiries and resolve issues or escalate where needed
  • Identify training needs and coordinate training programs in coordination with Talent Management lead.
  • Promote continuous learning and professional development
  • Maintain accurate HR records and databases
  • Generate HR reports and metrics for management analysis
  • Participate and complete work in overall Iconex HR projects
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 5+ year experience in HR at a warehouse or manufacturing preferred
  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Proven experience in HR management or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficiency in HR software preferably in Cornerstone, ADP, Bswift, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or similar HR certifications are a plus.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:

Must be able to work in a team-oriented, professional and fast-paced environment. Regular exposure to manufacturing environment with one or more unpleasant hazardous conditions including but not limited to exposure to dust, dirt, high noise levels, chemicals. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets. Must be able physically to lift the weight of a filled archive box, bend over file cabinets, sit at a computer 3-4 hours at a stretch.
