CAD Technician III

PRIME AE Group, Inc. (), a multi-faceted and rapidly growing architectural and engineering firm with 19 office locations and over 475 employees throughout the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Northeast areas, is seeking a CADD Technician III with a focus on water, wastewater, and site development work to join the existing, growing team at our office in Lexington, KY.

Position Overview:

The focus of this role will be to design water, wastewater, and site development projects in accordance with various, client-specific design guidelines.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design water distribution and wastewater collection systems (plans and profiles) in accordance with various, client-specific design guidelines.
• Utilize Autodesk Civil 3D software to perform drafting for grading, plan/profiles, details, water, sanitary, storm, paving, and drainage to produce site development and municipal construction plans.
• Develop complex sequences of construction as it relates to avoiding interruption of service during construction.
• Track project schedules and taking accountability for delivering on-time and on-budget.
• Assess the feasibility and soundness/validity of proposed engineering evaluations.
• Coordinate directly with the team and management on a day-to-day basis.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associates Degree or higher in a related field or 2-year technical degree or certificate of completion from an accredited designer/drafter course (or equivalent) is preferred (demonstrated experience without a technical degree or certification will be considered).

• Minimum 5 years working as a CADD Technician related to site development and/or water and wastewater system projects with demonstrable leadership capabilities.
• Highly proficient with the most current version of AutoCAD (Civil3D).

• Have working knowledge of CAD Standards, Civil 3D features and annotation styles, surfaces, line styles, sheet set manager and drawing setup.
