We're looking for curious individuals to apply for this role! A competitive candidate will have energy toward problem-solving and process improvement. An ideal candidate will also have some accounting experience from one or more related jobs or internships.
The basics:
- Perform basic accounting tasks, such as weekly payroll reconciliations, intracompany transfer entries, or invoicing.
- Execute system support tasks, such as cost center and profit center setup and modification.
- Assist with month, quarter, and year end close duties as needed.
- Participate in compliance initiatives, including documenting and improving existing internal controls.
A day in the life may include...
- Collaborating with the global accounting team on resolving complex financial issues, managing projects, and improving month end close processes.
- Researching and resolving intracompany transaction variances.
- Improving documentation of desktop processes.
- Developing and implementing new accounting methods and processes, as well as improvements to automated accounting processes.
- Ensuring compliance with government laws and regulations, policies, and professional standards.
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience using Microsoft Excel
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Must be willing and able to obtain clearance(s) through the US Department of Defense
What will put you ahead:
- SAP experience
- General knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- DFARS and CAS standards knowledge
