We are partnered with an Insurance client in the Birmingham Alabama area, in need of an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team! Please review responsibilities below and apply if interested in pursuing an interview!
Responsibilities:
- Obtain primary financial data for accounting records
- Code invoices and work with GL codes
- Obtain check approvals
- Problem solving special requests for checks
- Send invoices to the right person for coding
- Help with questions regarding checks
- Process expense reports
- Mail and sort out checks
- Process and pay bills online
- Scan checks and distribute to different departments
- Compute and record numerical data
- Check the accuracy of business transactions
- Perform data entry and administrative duties
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounting, finance, or other related fields
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong organizational skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
