Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role

Strong knowledge of diesel engines and their components

Proficient in using power tools and diagnostic equipment

Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures and schedules

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams

Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair diesel engines

Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues accurately

Attention to detail to ensure repairs are completed correctly

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Good communication skills to explain repairs to customers or colleagues

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including but not limited to vehicles and heavy equipment

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using automotive diagnostics tools

Repair or replace faulty parts, such as belts, hoses, and transmissions

Assemble and disassemble engines and other components for repair or replacement

Use power tools and specialized equipment to complete repairs and maintenance tasks

Conduct regular inspections to ensure vehicles and equipment are in proper working order

Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections
