The Emerald Grande at HarborWalk Village is hiring seasonal Parking Staff for the 2024 season. The only requirements for this role are reliable transportation, a positive attitude, and good work ethic! Great for students looking for a summer job or anyone seeking extra income over the summer months. This is an outdoor position that places you in the heart of our thriving property. There are opportunities for Full-Time work at the end of the summer within many different departments and we encourage our parking staff to apply and stay with us!

Job Title: Parking Attendant

Reports To: Parking Manager

Summary: The Parking Attendant will greet and assist day and overnight visitors to the Emerald Grande and HarborWalk Village, with directions on the various parking locations on property, during the spring and summer seasons. This role will share resort/village information upon request and collect parking fees upon exit. For those interested in employment during the off-season, there may be opportunity to transfer to a full-time role with the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Monitor the coming and goings of visitors of the HarborWalk Village and Emerald Grande property
  2. Collect payment (cash and credit) from visitors parking on property
  3. Maintain smooth traffic flow in, out, and around the property
  4. Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  5. Maintain a clean and professional manner with proper hygiene
  6. Work in a mostly outside environment while on your feet for long periods
  7. Be available to work all major holidays – Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day
  8. Be knowledgeable of the property and able to answer visitor’s questions
  9. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Able to work on your feet for an extended period
  • Able to work in team environment
  • Able to work a flexible schedule

Education and Experience Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, previous customer service experience a plus, cash handling experience preferred

Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements

  • Ability to provide excellent customer service while interacting with internal and external guests
  • Be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Language Skills

Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Availability

The Emerald Grande at HarborWalk Village is open and operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Employees are required to be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

License Requirements

Valid driver’s license with no major violations.
