Currently we have a CAD Technician role open. This role will perform entry level tasks in the Technical Communications area. This includes researching, compiling and writing various technical literature. Essential functions of the position include: Research engineering orders, drawings, and bills of materials to understand project requirement Create text and illustrations required to accurately depict project requirements Create/format concise technical literature based on project requirements Proof all Parts Page Codes for accuracy Work with supervision to understand corrections/improvements to projects based on review of preliminary draft Actively work to develop knowledge of Link-Belt products by identifying component parts in shop environment Actively work to understand Link-Belt computer systems and how they apply to Technical Communications Prepare an accurate monthly report to summarize time spent on projects and completions Complete assignments per master schedule to support production requirements Perform other duties as assigned General qualifications for this role: 2-year college degree, preferably in Mechanical/Drafting Technology, CAD, Technical writing or equivalent Minimum of one (1) year experience in writing technical publications
