Title: Scientist - II (Associate) Location: DeSoto, KS Duration: 24 months About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Biological Scientist to join our team in De Soto, KS. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in a relevant biological area (Bacteriology, Biology, Microbiology) and 1-3 years of ELISA experience in a lab setting. This role involves conducting in vitro testing for stability of reference standards of pre- and post-licensure products, preparing and testing small-scale vaccines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities: Maintain the reference management program for US biologics sites Ensure compliance with USDA guidelines for reference standards and in vitro potency tests Conduct in vitro testing for stability of reference standards Prepare and test small-scale vaccines to support formulation of new reference standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support qualification of new reference standards Assist in the preparation of protocols or reports for submission to USDA Provide technical support for approved Quality Control assays Support local, regional, and global program initiatives Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in a relevant biological area (Bacteriology, Biology, Microbiology). Required Skills: 1-3 years laboratory experience with ELISA, preferably in Animal Health/industry Experience developing, working with, and troubleshooting in vitro analytical tests mainly ELISA Knowledgeable of USDA regulations for biological products
