GVM Inc is currently seeking a full-time Brake Press Operator to join their team in their Biglerville, PA (17307) location. Salary Range: $18 - $22 / hour Executive Summary: Brake Press/Machine Operator is responsible for the production of all items required by the fabrication and welding, service, sales and assembly departments. Must be able to take direction from Fab and Weld Manager to prioritize workload, and to complete it in a timely manner. Must maintain a safe working environment in this department for all employees and follow all safety policies as mandated by the safety committee. Responsibilities: Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment Be able to proficiently operate a brake press as well as learn and operate other machines in the fabrication department as required Proficient in blueprint and/or drawing reading Proficient in reading a tape measure and any other measuring devices used in the fabrication department Strong understanding of fractions, decimals, and basic math Work well in a team atmosphere Maintain a safe working environment Maintain fabrication jigs and fixtures in good working order. Repair/rebuild/build as needed Display a positive attitude at all times Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor Responsible for the quality of products produced in this department Keep work area clean and free of debris and trip hazards Other duties as assigned Our Ideal Candidate: Education and Experience 2+ years of brake press metal fabrication experience required Skills and Abilities Welding ability is desired but not necessary Excellent people and communication skills Maintain a high energy level Displays self-discipline Must have a valid driver’s license Must be a fast learner and be able to adapt “on-the-fly” Hours and Schedule: Monday - Fridays + Occasional Saturdays 7:00am - 3:30pm 8 Hours + Overtime To Apply: Please submit your resume via the “APPLY NOW” button Equal Opportunity Employer
