Job Description:
• This resource will be supporting the Tax Operations team in the delivery of multiple projects and enhancements.
• This includes automating system of record data feed to the Tax Reconciliation Tool, overseeing the implementation of new IRS Regulations 1446(f) and 871m, creating a new user interface to support tax season reporting, as well as multiple enhancements to the tax withholding and reporting processes.
Responsibilities:
• Improve the over-all state of CIB Operations, and specifically the Shared Services Tax and Production & Output Services teams by reducing risk, and improving client service
• Manage the Tax Operations Change portfolio, including projects, business driven enhancements, and JIRAs.
• Help co-ordinate the tax reporting season with the line, by providing progress reports, and highlighting issues & dependencies.
• Assist the Tax Operations manager in facilitating Tax Audits and SHRP reviews, and presenting responses to risks identified both internally and externally.
• Development and maintenance of Tax Operations Strategic Review & Roadmap.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing and post-production check out for prioritized release items.
• Define and lead meetings with senior stakeholders to communicate ongoing progress of the Tax Operations Team and their initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
• 8+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: business support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning in financial services
Desired Qualifications:
• 10 years’ experience of financial products/markets, specifically in the securities world
• 5 years’ experience of project management including program level reporting, and evidence of decision making through prioritization process
• Highly motivated individual with ability to drive results through leadership
• Ability to identify strategic opportunities and make specific recommendations. Ability to identify inefficient and/or ineffective processes and provide solution options
• Aptitude to structure multiple tasks and work in an organized manner under pressure and time constraints
• Flexibility to manage multiple distinct work streams simultaneously
• Virtual project management experience is a plus
• Ability to oversee the development of test plans, test scripts and coordinate system testing, through oversight of UAT
• Strong written communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated capacity to develop relationships and work with multiple departments (e.g. Sales & Trading, Middle/Back Office, Finance, Compliance, Technology, Collateral, Reconciliations)
• Insight on how the IRS reporting and withholding regimes influence Capital Markets products a plus
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Excel, Word)
• Capital Markets knowledge is a plus
• Trade lifecycle knowledge for Prime Broker, Broker Dealer, Futures Commission Merchant, OTC Derivatives, etc. products
