About this job

Rebecca School is seeking Head Teachers for classrooms of students ranging in ages and developmental capacities. The openings are for Summer and/or September 2024. Rebecca School is a therapeutic program that utilizes the DIRFloortime® method, a developmental relationship-based model of teaching instruction developed by Dr. Stanley Greenspan. Our school serves children on the autism spectrum along with students with neurodevelopmental disorders, ranging in ages 3-21. 

Pay range $56,000 to $75,000, depending on degree/experience

Teachers are able to develop their own classroom curriculum, creating individualized, developmental, interest-based programs for each student while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Teachers should be able to differentiate curriculum to meet the needs of a variety of learning profiles. Teachers work in an interdisciplinary model in order to support the students’ social, emotional & academic development. 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Have a master’s degree as well as NY state certification or are close to completing their master's program. 
  • Be open to learning more about DIRFloortime®.
