Dietary Aide Full time

TerraBella Senior Living is looking for a Dietary Aide to join our community, The Park Oak Grove.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for proper dining set-up, providing meal and dining services and cleaning of the dining rooms. Performs various kitchen cleaning and storage activities such as dish and pot washing, general kitchen cleaning, and the storing of food and non-food supplies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains or exceeds standards of appearance, cleanliness, personal sanitation, and hygiene.
• Attends all in-services as required.
• Utilizes proper food handling and food service techniques.
• Takes meal/drink orders and serves meals in a friendly and timely manner.
• Assures resident/guest is satisfied with their meals.
• Maintains knowledge of all specials and general description of all food items and explains to residents or guests.
• Maintains assigned tables and surrounding area in a complete state of cleanliness, appearance, and readiness.
• Sets-up and cleans the Dining Room while maintaining or exceeding hospitality and service standards.
• Assists in dining room and surrounding areas for proper directional flow, organization, and supplies placement.
• Assists with orientation and training of new food servers.
• Practices all safety and loss prevention procedures.
• Operates dishwashing machine to properly wash and sanitize all dishes, silverware, glasses, utensils, and cooking equipment.
• Maintains clean, sanitary, clutter free and safe environment in food services areas by sweeping, mopping and pressure washing floors, cleaning and sanitizing dish machine.
• Sets up and maintains dish and pot washing areas.
• Cleans production equipment as needed or directed by supervisor.
• Records and maintains documentation for the following measures for service standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Manually records dish machine(s) temperatures and sanitizer strength.
  • Manually records pot and pan sink temperature and sanitizer strength.
• Assists in receiving and verifying food and non-food deliveries.
• Performs and completes opening and closing checklist criteria.
• Follows daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
• Other duties as assigned.
