Process Technician Duties

  • Investigates all problems associated with molded part processes, including computer programs, the auxiliary systems (heating, cooling, material feed, dryers, etc...). Identifies and defines symptoms and isolates causes.
  • Performs all necessary corrective actions to eliminate problems. These actions may include advising systems assurance to perform necessary changes on computer programs.
  • Assists the maintenance personnel in resolving machine process problems on an as-needed basis.
  • Assists system assurance in monitoring computer programs.
  • Understands all lockout procedures and follows them.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School education or equivalent
  • Proven mechanical aptitude
  • A demonstrated understanding of the total integration of molding machine systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, control) and the sequence of machine operation
  • Knowledge and understanding of the plastic injection process, and different types of plastic materials used
  • Knowledge and understanding of auxiliary equipment
  • Ability to work well with people
  • Ability to obtain a hi-lo license
  • Understanding of Lockout Tagout preferred
