As a LICENSED ELECTRICIAN at Ample, you will plan and perform electrical work for Ample facility buildouts, swapping station deployments, and swapping station troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades. You will be a critical team member helping Ample expand and offer battery swapping services around the Bay Area, and potentially traveling to power Ample nationally and internationally as well.

What you'll do:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
• Install new power circuits and connections for facilities and project equipment.
• Plan, procure parts for, and execute 480 VAC electrical installations to power Ample swapping stations, including procuring and installing all materials (wire, conduit, panels, disconnects, transformers, etc.).
• Advise on electrical conduit routing and equipment layouts for the creation of site plans and line drawings, and work with local AHJs to pull permits and host inspections.
• Assist Ample field service and deployment teams with electrical troubleshooting and repairs internal and external to swapping stations, as needed.
• Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Perform general electrical maintenance.
• Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
• Repairing and replacing equipment, electrical wiring, and fixtures.
• Assist Ample on electrical code implications and options.
• Maintain good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems as well as various testing equipment.
• Travel to Ample facilities and deployment sites in the Bay Area, and potentially beyond.

What You'll Bring:

• Completion of electrician apprenticeship.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working as an electrician.
• Valid general electrician certification in the state of California.
• Valid driver's license.
• High school diploma.
• Electrician degree from a technical college.
• Deep electrical system, power generation, blueprints, maintenance, and repair knowledge.
• Experience in the renewable energy field.
