Job Description
Tasks:
Implementation of the requirements of production management by taking the company objectives and the objectives of the corporate mission statement into account.
- Coordination and scheduling of the plant resources by considering the customer demands and volume specifications
- Continuous optimization of the detailed planning of production orders
- Planning and provision of tools and measuring equipment
- Collaborate with the implementation of the quality & environmental objectives
- Ensuring implementation and compliance of the Management systems
- Prioritize, schedule and delegate work assignments, and directly supervise the assigned hourly production employees to ensure the production of the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost, while meeting customer delivery requirements and quality standards
- Meet production schedules and quality goals for assigned work center, within direct labor overhead and capital budget allotments.
- Schedule production, prototype and project runs.
- Train employees to ensure a motivated workforce capable of meeting all production goals, quality system procedures and requirements and meeting the needed review schedules.
- Advise management of problems that interfere with production and quality goals and recommend solutions.
- Manage the technical resources to the assigned work center and to other departments to address and resolve inquires and problems to ensure production remains up and running
- Review scrap and work with employees to reach Zero Defects.
- Implement action plans for cost reductions, productivity and quality improvements and report results.
- Monitor safety, quality and productivity in the manufacturing areas. Correct unsafe acts or conditions.
- Review payroll information to ensure employees are paid correctly. Coordinate with HR Dept. to correct or adjust payroll information.
- Communicate / identify departmental supply shortages and equipment, ordering as needed
- Participate on cross functional teams to ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of processes, methods, productivity, and quality, while reducing costs.
- Ensure the completion of all required records, paperwork, documentation, etc.
- Maintain departmental housekeeping standards
