JOB SUMMARY:

Working with minimal supervision, the Equipment Maintenance Technician II performs various semi-routine assignments following established procedures. Recognizes occasional deviations from accepted practices to resolve problems.

SHIFT: Rotating 7:00 pm - 7:00 am

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follows established procedures on routine assignments and receives instructions on new tasks.
  • Maintains all production equipment.
  • Conducts complex problem-solving with minimal supervision.
  • Performs preventative maintenance.
  • Trains and coordinates activities of machine operators or MA’s in production equipment maintenance.
  • Troubleshoots non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment in the manufacturing process.
  • Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and assembles equipment based on plans, blueprints, manuals, sketches, or drawings.
  • Utilizes test and diagnostic equipment for checkouts.
  • Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required.
  • Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and documents accordingly.
  • Assists in moving and installing equipment.
  • Calibrates equipment using general and special-purpose test equipment.
  • May be required to work overtime or be on-call.
  • Ensures compliance with all company security policies.
  • May perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Automotive knowledge preferred
  • HVAC experience is an advantage.
  • Light machining experience.
  • Advanced electro-mechanical diagnostic skills.
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Proficient use of basic and special-purpose hand tools, leveling instruments, and test/calibration equipment.
  • Troubleshooting skills for failures detectable at the IO level.
  • Basic mathematics.
  • Understanding of electronic color codes and component value markings.
  • Knowledge of safety practices requirements.
  • Solid familiarity with specialized maintenance tracking programs.
  • Proficient in personal computer operation in a Windows environment (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and email).
  • Use of specialized maintenance tracking programs.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Two (2) to five (5) years of prior work experience in electro-mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment required.
