THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As part of this position, you will be a valuable member of a survey team responsible for utilizing both manual and electronic tools to conduct surveys related to various aspects such as engineering, construction, and property. Your duties will include setting up, operating, adjusting, and maintaining different survey instruments, establishing centerlines, measuring angles, and ensuring proper alignment of structures. Additionally, you will be involved in staking out tangents, curve stations, and reference control points to support accurate surveying work.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, on an adhoc basis. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Oil City.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience as an Engineering Technician; or
  • Three years of experience as a member of a survey corps which included duties operating both standard and electronic surveying instruments; or
  • One year of experience as a member of a survey corps which included duties operating both standard and electronic surveying instruments, and an associate's degree in surveying, drafting, design, civil or any other appropriate field of engineering technology.


Condition of Employment:

  • This position requires possession of a valid PA Class C non-commercial driver's license.
