Position: Senior Systems Administrator (Research & Development Data Center)
Location: Denver, CO (Onsite as needed, Hybrid work model)
Employment Type: Permanent
Salary: $115- $130,000 per annum, with up to a 10% annual bonus
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Azure platform
- Expertise in managing Kubernetes clusters
- Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, etc.
- Effective leadership abilities with hands-on experience
- Competence in DNS management and SAN/Storage Arrays
- Hands-on experience with switch configuration, VLANs, and trunks
- Experience in Terraform for implementation
- Ability to design, install, and configure servers, network devices, and firewalls for optimal uptime (99.99%)
Certifications Preferred:
- Microsoft Systems Engineering
- VMWare Certified Professional, Data Center Virtualization
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals or Microsoft Azure Administrator
Additional Comments:
- Minimum 5 years of System Administration experience, ideally in a hybrid cloud environment
- Proven track record in enterprise server virtualization (VMWare) and network architecture
- Proficiency in LAN Routing and Switching, VLANs, IP Subnetting, and 802.1Q trunks
- Experience in managing external SAN and NAS storage arrays
- Ability to design and manage DNS configurations on Windows and Linux platforms
- Strong expertise in endpoint redundancy and backup solutions
- Skilled in optimizing datacenter infrastructure based on industry best practices
- Capable of developing comprehensive project plans and implementing them effectively
- Knowledgeable in industry-standard scripting languages and cloud infrastructure, particularly Microsoft Azure
- Proficient in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, or Azure Resource Manager
- Hands-on experience with Docker containers and hybrid cloud environments
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve technical issues independently
- Proficient in administering Linux, Windows Server, and Windows client operating systems
