Sodexo Healthcare is seeking an experienced NICU and Pediatric focused Registered Dietitian to join our clinical team at Renown Regional Medical Center, located in Reno, NV.  Renown Health is 800 beds and the region’s only Level II Trauma Center, serving over 1 million people and 100,000 square miles. Renown offers desperately needed health and medical services in remote, rural communities.

Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager the successful candidate will:

• Be a Registered Dietitian;
• provide MNT nutritional care for a variety of inpatient units including Pediatric and NICU;
• support direct patient care in the pediatric and NICU unit and as needed on inpatient units;
• work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary interdisciplinary staff;
• perform quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays;
• educate healthcare team member, including physicians and nurses.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) (Note: For those seeking registration after 2023, a master’s degree will be required)

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision

 

Credentials Requirement:

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
• Specialty credential in area(s) of focused practice, as applicable, or advanced practice certification (RD-AP/RDN-AP)
