DAY Shifts Certified Nursing Assistant/CNA - Lexington Park MD

We are looking for immediate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who are dedicated and wants to make a difference in the work that they do. During these trying times, Right at Home wants to help and support you. We want to provide you with the opportunity to serve a population who needs you right now.

We stand prepared to equip you with the personal protective equipment (PPE) and continued education and trainings you need. We are ready to assist as you care for our vulnerable population of seniors and adults with disabilities.

SHIFTS

Lexington Park, MD St. Mary's County - CNA - Permanent

• AM Shift
• 3 hrs/day and 2x/week
• Total of 6 hrs/wk

Lexington Park, MD St. Mary's County - CNA - Permanent

• AM Shift.
• 3hrs/day and 5x/wk
• Total of 14 hrs/wk
• heavy transfer (280 lbs)

Nice to Haves:

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
• Experience as a caregiver in a facility is preferred.
• Possession of an active CPR and First Aid Certificate

Responsibilities and Duties:

o Personal Care Aide Services
• Assistance w/ bathing, showering and dressing
• Incontinence care & toileting
• Transferring, positioning, and care of bed-bound patients
• Ambulation assistance
• Medication reminders
• Monitor diet and nutrition by preparing meals and grocery list
• Providing hospice supportive care
• Mail letters, bills, or packages

o Indoor/Outdoor Activities
• Physical, speech and occupational therapy exercise reminders
• Participate with hobbies or crafts by reading books and playing games or cards
• Take walks and help reduce risk of slips and falls
• Bring in the mail and newspaper

o Transportation
• Run errands and/or escort client to grocery store, dry cleaners, doctor appointments, religious activities, and other social activities using public transportation, taxi, client’s car or caregiver's car if available
• Escort to breakfast, lunch or dinner in facility environment

o Light Housekeeping
• Mop, sweep, and vacuum floors
• Wash and arrange dishes
• Light cleaning of kitchen counters and appliances
• Light cleaning of bathroom(s), dust, organize, and tidy up rooms
• Make the beds and change the linens
• Wash laundry and put away clothes
• Take out the garbage

o Socializing & Relationships
• Companionship and friendly conversations by reminiscing about the past
• Answer the door and telephone
• Arrange appointments and set up social functions and visits
• Help write letters and read the mail
• Communicate with family members and other healthcare professionals
