Job Purpose

Recovery Support Aides' (RSA) are responsible for the facilitation and delivery of treatment services according to an established schedule of structured program activities. RSA’s shall ensure a therapeutic environment which is productive, meaningful, and provided in a manner that is appropriate for the person(s)-served within the treatment setting.

Qualifications RSA LEVEL I

 Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent;

 Must be capable of accurately recording, communicating, and monitoring diverse information;

 Possess or ability to possess, a MO Class E Chauffeur's license;

 Meet the minimum requirements to be clinically privileged by FCC Behavioral Health.

 Meet the requirements of an RSA II as listed in the RSA Application, including 2000 hours (at least one (1) year) of applicable work experience.

Core Job Duties

 Monitor and facilitates group activities in accordance to program schedule using a group facilitating format and group material that engage the person(s)-served.

 Monitor/supervises the participation and accurate completion of assigned daily duties of person(s)-served.

 Monitor and facilitates the participation of person(s)-serve in self-help group activities.

 Assist in the supervision and facilitation of recreational and educational activities, as required.

 Assist supervisor with the coordinating groups and events on monthly calendar, as required.

 Accept responsibility to assist and/or lead treatment group activities, if requested.

 Orient new arrivals to activities, introducing them to other participants, explaining facility rules and encouraging participation.

 Provide continuous supervision of person(s)-served to ensure compliance with schedules and services.

 Monitor person(s)-served and report any physical and/or emotional changes to the proper staff members.

 Monitor vital signs of person(s)-served, as required.

 Coordinate crisis intervention services, as needed.

 Serve as a positive role model through professional appearance, therapeutic communication and respect for self and others.

 Assist in identifying and assessing strengths and needs of person(s)-served.

 Assist in identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping to improve knowledge and/or skills of person(s)-served.

 Assist person(s)-served in meeting goals and objectives in current treatment plan by using staff interventions outlined in that plan.

 Assist in the transportation of person(s)-served to and from scheduled activities and to and from person(s)served home, as needed.
