Lead Mechanical Engineer
Large HVAC Company has a fantastic opportunity for advancement for the right Engineer. They are looking for a personable problem solver who doesn’t want to be anchored to a desk and computer all day.

Our Client provides energy efficient economical HVAC Solutions from concept to full operational working systems. This position will allow you to work in a team environment with our sales staff and clients both in office and on site serving our clients HVAC comfort and industrial process needs.
Salary and Benefits
Salary range is between $75,000 and $150,000.
Excellent benefits come with this position.
Qualifications
- Successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3-5 years’ experience in HVAC system design.
- Must have experience using design and software systems such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp 3D or similar.
- Must be punctual and have the ability to meet deadlines.
- Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as problem solving skills.
Position Responsibilities
- Assist sales staff and clients with research, design, and installation of HVAC mechanical equipment for both large and small projects .
- Communicate directly with clients to understand project requirements, goals, design specifications, and operational environments in order to evaluate, costs, feasibility and implementation of new HVAC equipment including performing heat loss heat gain calculations.
- Research review and discuss design application concepts and equipment selection with sales team and vendors.
- Develop concept drawings for budget purposes utilizing various types of software systems.
- Review and develop sequence of operation with sales and controls team.
- Analyze existing HVAC systems and equipment when necessary to find inefficiencies or malfunctions and create solutions to optimize performance and increase efficiency.
- Assist in sales presentations when required.
- Keep current with all national, state and local codes, i.e. NFPA, Ohio Basic Building Codes, ASHRAE Standards.
- Discuss field changes with sales and project management.
