The Salvation Army Gateway Citadel Corps Community Center is looking a Community Center Receptionist. This individual will be responsible monitor entrance to the Community Center, greet and direct visitors, and effectively represent TSA when meeting the public

This is a part-time, 29 hours per week, $13.00 per hour.

Essential Functions

  • Greet and check in members and visitors to the Community Center and then refer them to proper source of assistance.
  • Answer and monitor incoming calls and emails. Make outgoing calls for staff as needed
  • Handle all membership procedures:
  • Give out membership applications
  • Write receipts for money received
  • Input membership applications in database and file paper copies.
  • Record daily attendance reports and statistics turned in by staff.
  • Answer routine details on programming and scheduling.
  • Monitor activity in the area surrounding reception desk, front entrance, lounge, and hallway, including cameras; clean lounge as needed.
  • Type league documents and assigned material.
  • Help prepare brochures and other community center documents.
  • Collect Community Center funds as needed; assist in processing financial reports.
  • Keep electronic activities calendar and school calendars updated.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with Salvation Army Safe From Harm guidelines
  • This includes, but is not limited to, such actions as: resolution of conflicts in a professional manner; courteous treatment of staff, visitors, and clients; respect

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent with appropriate clerical/computer skills and one year work experience. A combination of training and experience will be considered. Must get along well with others.

Physical and Working Conditions

Must be capable of performing the above essential duties in an office environment to include frequently use a computer, answering phones, etc. Most work will be indoors in a temperature-controlled environment.
