We are searching for a skilled Drone Operator Technician to join our team.

preferable has experience flying drones (no commercial drones for video or photos) the drones we have these:

Sprayer Drone - DJI Agras T40 (FCC)
Multispectral Drone - DJI Mavic 3M

This role is crucial for maintaining and enhancing our farm operations through the proficient operation and management of drone technology. The Drone Operator Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining our spray and scout drones, assisting in field mapping using ArcGIS, and installing and managing our remote field monitoring system with AgriLynk. Reporting to our Agricultural Engineer, the Drone Operator Technician will also collaborate with the production team to ensure efficient irrigation and chemigation schedules. We are looking for an individual who is proactive, adaptable, and dedicated to advancing agricultural technology.

Essential Job Functions:

Operate and maintain spray/scout drone equipment under the direction of the Agricultural Engineer.
Conduct chemical applications on fields using the spray drone and maintain organized flight logs.
Utilize the scout drone for field mapping and upload mapping data using ArcGIS.
Assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive drone program, including procedures, protocols, and safety standards.
Install and maintain AgriLynk remote monitoring and control system devices.
Analyze AgriLynk data to make resource allocation decisions and propose software improvements.
Ensure optimal irrigation levels in fields and develop/implement irrigation schedules as needed.
Collaborate with the production team to coordinate irrigation and chemigation schedules and maintain the irrigation system.
Support administrative duties, including data collection and grant filing.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:

Willingness to obtain certifications and licenses to operate spray and mapping drones.
Eagerness to learn farm software (AgriLynk) and ArcGIS mapping.
Physical ability to work outdoors, on varied terrain, and lift/carry at least 90 pounds.
Strong customer service skills.
Basic electrical/plumbing skills for remote field monitoring installations.
Excellent collaboration and conflict resolution skills.
Effective communication in a professional setting.
Adaptability to new procedures.
Strong judgment and decision-making abilities.
Intermediate computer skills.
