About the Role: As a Tool & Die Maker at MES, you'll play a crucial role in die building from start to completion, utilizing your expertise in tool room equipment and procedures. You'll read blueprints, operate tool room machines, and ensure the quality of workmanship meets our high standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Read blueprints and utilize measuring devices to create or modify tooling for new or existing job prints.
  • Set up and operate all tool room machines to create specific form tools, taps, drills, or holders for grinding.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards in the tool room, ensuring a safe and clean working environment.
  • Coordinate and perform new tool builds, ensuring the quality of workmanship meets expectations.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, and recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
  • Consistently adhere to policies, procedures, and safety regulations, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
Requirements:


  • Equivalent to a high school education with formal training in a specific field.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of tool room experience in progressive die building and/or hold a Journeyman Card.
  • Highly skilled in die making with thorough knowledge of all tool build processes.
