Description:

40-50 hours per week in store. Direct contact and resource for all store team members on lead shifts. Reports directly to Assistant General Manager and General Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Weekly Scheduling
  • Responsible for finding coverage for callouts
  • Responsible for assigning positions to team members and clearly outlining responsibilities to maximize efficiency
  • Responsible for scheduling and assigning catering drivers for deliveries on each closing shift for following day’s opening manager.
  • Responsible for actively managing cost of labor to maximize store coverage and profitability
  • Policy Adherence
  • Shift Leader is responsible for adherence by staff to establish guidelines and procedures including, but not limited to:
  • Proper food-handling and cool-down procedures
  • Appearance and dress code
  • Customer service
  • Food quality
  • Recipe adherence
  • Staff safety
  • Shift audit completion
  • Proper closing and opening procedures
  • Food Cost Management
  • Shift Leader is responsible for managing food cost concerns including, but not limited to:
  • Food waste
  • Portion control
  • Order accuracy
  • Upselling at POS
  • Credits and refunds
  • Environment
  • Shift Leader is responsible for managing and facilitating a work and dining environment consistent with Tropical Grille, including, but not limited to
  • Cleanliness
  • Staff morale
  • Music
  • Staff language and behavior
  • Guest experience
  • Customer service
  • Expectations
  • Shift Leader is expected to communicate often with Store Management Team.
  • Shift Leader is expected to be proactive in facilitating and encouraging staff communication
  • Shift Leader is expected to be proactive in addressing all concerns involving scheduling, positional training, hiring, policy adherence, food cost management, and environment to Store Management Team.
