• Estimated annual base pay: $79,400 (minimum) - $99,200 (midpoint) - $119,000(maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? Join Woodward as a Military Marine Electrical Engineer. You will be part of a team of mechanical, electrical, software, cyber, and systems engineering subject matter experts. Your electrical engineering expertise will aid in the development of Navy electric plant and propulsion control systems. In doing so, you are part of ensuring global allied Navies are well positioned to help maintain global security. What we do matters!

What You Will Be Doing

• Creates, modifies, and standardizes electrical control wiring diagrams for our control system designs
• Provides guidance and expertise on electric plant architecture, design, and control philosophy
• Interprets customer requirements and derives detailed design requirements
• Selects commercial of the shelf (COTS) electrical products for integration into our systems
• Helps ensure compliance to relevant military standards like MIL-STD-461 and similar

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in arts/sciences in Engineering required
• Greater than 1 year experience in related field or entry level Master of Science degree
• Competent in use of electrical CAD software tools like AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN or similar
• Solid knowledge of electrical power generation concepts like synchronizing, generator load sharing, load distribution, load shedding, black start, and basic knowledge of generator and bus protection
• Solid knowledge of electrical diagrams, components, and control panel design
• Ability to effectively operate in the project team environment and communicate with customers.
• Assists with developing internal and customer witnessed test procedures
• Basic understanding of and/or interest in electrical simulation tools
