IT Support Technician

Overview

Horizon Farm Credit is actively seeking an IT Support Technician to join our team. Qualified candidate may work in the Mechanicsburg, PA, Mount Joy, PA, or Westminster branch location. This position is eligible for hybrid work schedule after 6 months of successful employment. Our ideal candidate is an analytical individual with strong customer service and communication skills. The hours of operations are typically, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This is an entry-level position.

Position Description: As the IT Support Technician, you will provide first-line technical support to users and resolve their IT-related issues. This includes diagnosing and resolving common hardware and software problems, providing training and support on new technologies, and troubleshooting basic network problems. In this position, you will collaborate with other members of the IT team to escalate more complex issues.

Key Responsibilities

Provide tier 1 technical support to users via phone, email, and Webex
Diagnose and resolve common hardware and software problems
Install and configure new software and hardware
Provide training and support on new technologies
Troubleshoot and resolve basic network problems
Assist with IT projects as needed.
Participates in technical research and recommends new technologies to increase efficiencies and enhance Association strategic goals.
Maintains local security and control requirements

REQUIREMENTS

Education and/or experience equivalent to at least an Associate's degree in IT or related field.
Generally, minimum to three years of experience in an IT field or in a related field.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Products, Microsoft Operating Systems, and general PC maintenance.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting.
Ability to work independently and as part of the team.
Ability to work with a high level of confidentiality.
Adaptable and flexible to a changing work environment.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance is required.

Salary range: $49,200 -$60,300 depending on experience.
