CNC Machinist

Hamilton-Ryker has an exciting new opportunity as a CNC Machinist with a family owned and operated machining company in Georgetown KY.

Shift: 1st shift Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:45pm

Payrate: $16.50 - 20.00 based on experience

What you will be doing:
 

•  Calculate dimensions or tolerances, using instruments, such as micrometers or vernier calipers.
• Machine parts to specifications, using machine tools, such as CNC lathes and Mills
• Measure, examine, or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments, such as micrometers.
• Set up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine tools used to perform precision machining operations.
• Verify alignment of workpieces on machines
• Adjust machine controls and change tool settings to keep dimensions within specified tolerances.
• Replace worn tools
• Inspect sample workpieces to verify conformance with specifications, using instruments such as gauges, micrometers, and test indicators.
• Start lathe or turning machines and observe operations to ensure that specifications are met.
• Position, secure, and align cutting tools in toolholders on machines, using hand tools, and verify their positions with measuring instruments.
  
  What we need from you:
   
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or over
  • Must comply with client’s substance abuse & background policy
  • Must have High school diploma or Equivalent
  • Must have 5 years previous CNC Machinist experience 
  • Must have previous experience with Lathes or turning machines
  • Experience with precisions instruments, gauges, micrometers and calipers
