Kavaliro is actively seeking an accomplished IT leader with a strong background in security and development to step into the role of Senior Director, Information Technology. This pivotal position will involve spearheading, overseeing, and nurturing the growth of our IT team. We're looking for someone with extensive experience in managing and expanding IT operations while also establishing and upholding a comprehensive company-wide information security management program to safeguard our valuable assets. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), the Senior Director of Information Technology will assume the responsibility of providing technical oversight across all aspects of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and security protocols. What You'll Contribute: Demonstrated proficiency in management, with a track record of guiding and fostering the development of individuals and teams. This involves striking a delicate balance between IT infrastructure, security measures, and compliance while aligning with the broader business objectives. Proven ability to efficiently utilize resources and coordinate teams to successfully execute multiple projects within overlapping time frames. Experience in formulating strategic plans and roadmaps for the IT department, ensuring alignment with organizational goals Key Responsibilities: Act as the primary steward for all assurance activities concerning the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of critical business information, in adherence to established information security protocols. Lead strategic business technology planning efforts, offering insight into future technology trends and system advancements. Devise and execute strategic plans and priorities to deliver innovative and cost-effective technology programs and services tailored to the needs of the company. Effectively manage and troubleshoot support-related issues, including high-priority incidents, ensuring swift resolution and preventive measures. Collaborate with the IT team to monitor cybersecurity systems, proactively respond to threats, and fortify technology and data resources against potential breaches. Ensure the incident response plan remains updated to meet evolving business requirements, encompassing detection, containment, mitigation, and recovery strategies. Oversee ongoing projects and foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery. Ensure meticulous documentation of network infrastructure, hardware configurations, server setups, and recovery procedures is maintained by the IT team. Regularly engage with senior leadership to foster trust and cultivate strong relationships. Education and Experience: Minimum of 10 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles managing teams. A bachelor's degree in a related field is required, while a master's degree or technical certifications are preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered. Proficiency in implementing and supporting web-based and RPG applications is preferred, along with familiarity with warehouse operational functions and processes. Required Skills and Abilities: Proven leadership acumen in steering projects and development teams within large-scale companies with multiple business units. Strong communication skills with a focus on leveraging technology as a catalyst for business advancement. Demonstrated ability to motivate teams, simplify complex situations, foster consensus, and facilitate compromises when necessary. Proficiency in delegation and mentorship, coupled with robust problem-solving capabilities. Sound understanding of technology architecture and infrastructure strategy and design. Aptitude for making decisive judgments in time-sensitive, high-pressure scenarios, with a readiness to escalate issues when appropriate. Physical Requirements and Work Environment: The role primarily operates in an office environment, with occasional fieldwork. Ability to stand, sit, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods. Proficiency in utilizing computer equipment such as keyboards, monitors, and RF scanners for prolonged durations. Visual acuity requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
