Job Title: Temporary Accountant

Location: Hammond, LA

Salary: $25-28 per hour

Duration: Temporary, Full-time (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM), with possibility of permanency

Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Temporary Accountant to join our team in Hammond, LA. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks including bank reconciliations, balancing general ledgers, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, processing invoices, and performing data entry. This role also involves handling interactions with vendors and clients, requiring excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
• Balance general ledgers and maintain up-to-date financial documentation
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Process invoices accurately and efficiently
• Conduct data entry tasks with precision and attention to detail
• Interact with vendors and clients, providing excellent customer service
• Utilize QuickBooks Online for accounting tasks
• Opportunity to showcase clean-up skills by improving departmental processes
• Possibility of permanency in the role, with potential for advancement

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• Proven experience in accounting roles, preferably in a similar environment
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Business casual attire required
