Job Description
Job Responsibilities
Drive and operate various standard & automatic transmission trucks.
Perform daily pre- trip inspections on truck and trailer
Assist w/ loading & unloading of cargo
Strap / secure loads
Follow delivery instructions. Travel throughout southern eastern states.
Communicate needs for vehicle maintenance to administration
Accurately complete trip paperwork
Communicate with dispatch daily
Verify load paperwork for accuracy
Maintain accurate Drivers Daily Log
Comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times.
Skills & Qualifications
Traffic laws/ DOT regulations/ driving knowledge
Listening and verbal communication skills
Must be dependable
Understanding of Code of Federal Regulations not required, but is a plus. Specifically, Part 395
Requirements
CDL – Class A
21 years or older
DOT Physical
Verifiable DOT Regulated Work History
Pre-Employment & Random Drug Test
No DUI/DWI convictions in the past seven years
Clean MVR
