Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of various stores across the NY/NJ/CT/PA region. The tasks may vary based on the unique needs of each location. Your role will involve a mix of proactive and reactive maintenance activities to maintain a safe and functional environment.
Examples of Tasks:
- Troubleshoot and repair the time clock machine.
- Address issues/replace lighting fixtures.
- Resolve situations where an extension cord is used for additional appliances (microwave, fridge), ensuring safety and compliance.
- Replace a shelving rack leg to maintain structural integrity.
- Repair and maintain commercial heaters in warehouse facilities.
- Install thermostats, and ensure they synch with remote control systems.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in maintenance and repair work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address issues proactively.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Availability to work flexible hours, as needed.
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle; willingness to travel to various locations where shops are located.
Compensation:
- Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 annually DOE.
- Travel reimbursement.
- Full-time position (7:30 am - 5:00 pm).
