20025 - Technician II

Job Summary:

To analyze and monitor MES systems and equipment across the Automotive Manufacturing plant (KIA Georgia).  Provide level 1 support in continuously supporting production at KIA Georgia.

Note:  Must be open to multiple shifts as we do a rotation every few months.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor and respond to problems with MES computer systems. This includes covering phone calls and radio calls from production and maintenance.
• Complete periodic checklists regarding MES systems. Promptly respond to and resolve issues and requests as they arise.
• Work with other Analysts and other MES team members to resolve issues.
• Escalate issues as per MES escalation standards
• Work in both a control room and on the plant floor.
• Work overtime as needed to support production as well as projects
• Reconfigure and replace computers, scanners, and printers as they fail.
• Attend some holidays and the summer shutdown period to perform preventative maintenance of computers and MES equipment throughout the plant.
• Assist customers with installations and modifications regarding MES systems. This includes: computer installation, scanner installation and computer repair.

Required Skills, Attributes & Education:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Must be able to troubleshoot computer hardware and software
• Must be able to think analytically
• Experience with PC, Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Office, and Internet Explorer
• Comptia A+ preferred
• Must be able to work shift rotation
