Referral Coordinator

iTrust Wellness Group is an outpatient, private practice mental health office in the Upstate of SC. We are looking for a dynamic, empathetic individual to join our team as a Full-Time Referral Coordinator. The ideal candidate will work in our Business Development department to assist in getting patients accepted into our practice and scheduled to see a provider.

Competitive Pay: $15-$16 hourly

Schedule: Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 4:30pm, Friday 7:30am - 12:00pm. 

The Referral Coordinator role at iTrust Wellness Group encompasses a broad array of tasks and goals to prioritize excellent care for all patients.

Role Overview: The Referral Coordinator at iTrust Wellness Group involves engaging with potential and confirmed incoming clients by connecting with people who have referrals sent in, either on their behalf by another doctor or office or on their own accord. Referral Coordinators are responsible for ensuring comprehensive information is collected ahead of time to maximize the appointment time for both clients and providers. Referral Coordinators place a heavy emphasis on client communication through phone calls, text messages and emails, with a significant amount of outreach to engage with incoming clients.

Duties will include:

• Answering phone calls promptly, professionally, and kindly
• Responding to text messages promptly, professionally, and kindly
• Gaining proficiency with the EMR system to improve client experience
• Evaluating incoming referrals to appropriately accept clients into the practice
• Promptly scheduling and rescheduling initial appointments for clients
• Communicating with other offices regarding referrals, record requests, and other aspects of care coordination
• Composing emails and letters in a clear and concise manner
• Interacting with clients in a positive, compassionate manner
• Working with support staff and providers as a team
• Maintaining our company culture and upholding company values

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a healthcare setting
• Professional phone communication experience
• Computer literacy/ Experience with office equipment
• Prior experience working in a call-center environment
• Compassionate patient care and/or receptionist duties
• Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills
