The Radisson Hotel La Crosse is looking for a Host/Hostess to join our Three Rivers Bar and Kitchen team! The Radisson Hotel La Crosse is a 163 room Hotel nestled within Riverside Park overlooking the beautiful Mississippi River.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The role of the Greeter/Host/Cashier is to prepare beverages for our guests in a prompt and courteous manner while maintaining a high level of quality and consistency.
SHIFT:
Part Time | Hours: 20 Hours per Week

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Maintain a courteous, efficient and welcoming entrance to the restaurant or bar
* Greet and welcome guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner
* Notify servers of new seats in their section to ensure our guests receive immediate and proper attention
* Ensure a high level of visibility in restaurant during entire shift by remaining at the greeter station and periodically circulating through the restaurant to assist servers, respond to guest requests and observe the efficiency of the food and beverage operation
* Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility, and uses teamwork when providing guest service
* Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution, and follows through when resolving guest problems
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
* Minimum one year of restaurant experience, preferably in an upscale high volume environment
* Thorough understanding of safe and perceptive service
* Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
* Ability to do basic math and handle cash
* Ability to work with Point of Sale systems
* Highly organized - demonstrate ability to proactively prioritize needs, put first things first, and effectively manage resources and time
* Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
* Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
* Perform repetitive hand and arm movements;
* Ability to lift, pull, push up to 70 pounds;
* Must be able to push a luggage cart containing several pieces of luggage, up to 70 pounds each;
* Must be able to squat, bend, kneel and twist;
* Ability to stand for long periods of time;
* Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of more than 50 pounds
