Registered Nurse (RN) - Pre-Op/PACU - Part time

Main Line Fertility is seeking a nurse with previous recent PreOP/PACU experience to fill a part-time position. This is a team centered environment that requires someone who can work collaboratively. Our physicians are experts in the field of reproductive endocrinology. Together with a dedicated team of nurses, lab professionals and administrative staff, they provide compassionate, one-on-one care that is personalized for every patient. We offer a full complement of services for reproductive health from male and female infertility and perform IVF and GYN related procedures. Specific hours needed are as follows: Up to 29 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and two days during the week from 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. Flexibility and holiday rotation is required. Essential Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Facilitates effective and efficient transition from Preop to OR and PACU to release * Utilizes appropriate body mechanics in moving patients, stretchers, and OR tables to prevent injury to patient and self. * Ability to monitor patient as anesthesia wears off and evaluate patient * Properly communicates any post-op care instructions to patient * Demonstrates knowledge of patient management, including: being available from anesthesia during intubation and extubation, assisting as needed in sudden changes in patient condition, and being readily available to assist as directed. * Prepares and administers medications as needed * IV skills preferred * Other duties as required Education and Experience: * ASN or BSN * Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in PA * One year of hospital or surgery experience is required * Current BLS * ACLS and IV Skills preferred What we offer you: * PTO based on the number of hours worked. * 401K with a company match * Holiday pay for employees that have regular scheduled hours of 20 hours per week if the holiday falls on a regularly scheduled workday. * Employee Referral Bonus Program * Time and a half hourly wage for employees who work on company-recognized holidays.
