Assistant Provider

Looking for a reliable, seasoned, and mature daycare assistant. We are an award-winning and violation-free, home-based daycare located in the 19th Ward.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The essential responsibilities of an Assistant Provider include, but are not limited to:

• Guide children through positive language, positive reinforcement, and redirection.
• Ensure that the classroom is consistently safe, clean, organized, and fun while remaining professional.
• Ability to care for up to eight children of various age ranges throughout the day.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, licensing regulations, and required child to staff ratios.
• Ensure that the Mother Goose Time Curriculum or other projects are appropriately implemented daily.
• Ensure families’ satisfaction through regular communication and accessibility.
• Work as a team with the Provider to promote developmentally appropriate practices, complete accreditation standards, licensing requirements, and company procedures.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

Three years of childcare experience are required. Other experience working with children including babysitting or as a nanny, will be considered. Certification in CPR/First-Aid is required. Must be willing to complete 15-hours of state-mandated training within the first 6-months and an additional 15-hours within the next 6-months. Shifts and hours may vary weekly depending on enrollment. This is not a full-time position. Must complete OCFS application successfully and be approved by OCFS for this position.
