Fine Dining Host/ Hostess

Tchefuncte's is searching for an warm and friendly, outgoing, and enthusiastic host/hostess for our restaurant. This position will be required to greet guest as they enter and show them to their tables or waiting area. You are expected to engage with guest, recognize VIPs and regulars and to ensure their meal and experience is up to Tchefuncte’s standards. You must also be comfortable standing for long periods and managing a busy shift.

Job Duties:

• Greeting guest as they enter and putting them on a waiting list as necessary.
• Manage OpenTable before and during the shift to maximize guests that can dine with us
• Seating guest at tables, providing menus, black linen (where needed) and answering inital questions
• Assigning guest to tables they prefer, while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive the correct number of customers.
• Engaging with guest to ensure their meal and experience is up to Tchefuncte’s standards.
• Answering phone calls, taking reservations and answering questions.
• Knowledge of the menu and services offered.
• Assisting other positions in the restaurant as needed.

Qualifications:

• Ability to provide top notch customer service in a fast-paced environment
• A positive attitude and great teamwork when under pressure with all restaurant staff & guests
• Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if/when needed
• Able to work in a busy restaurant environment
• Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
• Restaurant or Customer service experience preferred, but not required

Both full-time and part-time positions available!

Pay Rate: $9.00 to 14 Hourly + Tips (roughly $3 - $5 per hour)
