Snelling is searching for an experienced Manual Machinist for a well-established company in the Helena, AL area. The starting pay rate for this position is $20-22+/hr, and it is a 1st shift position. Apply today with Confidence!!
Job Responsibilities for Manual Machinist:
- Machine plates including aluminum, iron & steel.
- Machine pins to close tolerance.
- Drilling, tapping, and milling.
- Maintain a clean workspace.
Skills & Abilities Required for Manual Machinist:
- Work from provided detailed manufacturing drawings.
- Efficient in the use of manual machine shop equipment such as lathes, drill presses, and vertical milling machines.
- Use of measuring devices such as micrometers, dial indicators, and calipers.
- Ability to interact positively with co-workers.
- Dependable. On-time. Self-starter.
Experience Needed for Manual Machinist:
- 2-3 years minimum of Manual Machinist experience with a strong manual lathe required!
- Need to be comfortable using all types of tools
- Need to have some forklift and/or overhead crane operating experience
- Experience using drill pressing, milling machines, and handheld measuring instruments
