Job Description
Dock 17, a vibrant restaurant located in the heart of Clarksville, TN, is renowned for its fresh, inventive dishes and welcoming atmosphere. We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Line Cook to bolster our kitchen brigade. This role presents an excellent opportunity for growth and development within our culinary team, with the chance to evolve into a full-time position. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
- Execute dishes in line with the head chef’s requirements and the restaurant's standards.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
- Ensure the preparation of dishes is timely and of the highest quality.
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, ensuring equipment is clean, and taking out the trash.
- Assist in food and supply inventory management, ensuring everything is properly stocked and stored.
- Adhere to kitchen safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
- Support the kitchen team in daily tasks, contributing to menu development and execution.
- Engage in ongoing training and workshops to refine skills and techniques.
Requirements:
No formal education is required; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Previous experience as a line cook is highly desirable, but training will be provided for those with a strong interest and foundational kitchen skills.
A fervent interest in culinary arts and ambition to advance in the food service industry.
Capacity to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Team-oriented with outstanding communication abilities.
Proficiency in English.
Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and peak hours.
18 years or older
